On 17th, 18th and 19th June Wherry Maud will be at the Locks Inn, Geldeston, Beccles NR34 0HW.

Visitors will be able to go on board Maud and see her history in photographs – a Timeline illustrating many stages of her life including:

  • her original build and her working life, followed by her abandonment in the 1960s
  •  her restoration and current use with Wherry Maud Trust.

A new attraction will be the Wherry Maud Pop-Up Museum in a gazebo where people can learn how wherries were used in their heyday.  Visitors will be able to choose from a selection of films of Maud sailing in recent times.

Outside the gazebo the Wherry Maud Photo Cut-out board will encourage families to take photos of themselves as wherryman and family.

While Maud is at The Locks artwork by members and supporters will be on sale inside the pub.

The Locks Inn is well-known for its good food and outdoor entertainment.

Music will be provided on Saturday 18 June by the Shantymen and on Sunday 19 June Murphys Law will entertain visitors. More information on the Locks Inn Facebook page.

It promises to be a fun weekend for all.
